Salma (Short Film)

Salma is the name of the final project I took part in creating when studying at The Animation Workshop. We worked on the short film for two semesters, and it was screened at our graduation ceremony in 2011. It has since then been shown several places, including Tricky Women Festival (Vienna, Austria: 2012), BUtiful Festival (Bournemouth, UK: 2012) and Tehran International Animation Festival (Tehran, Iran: 2013).

Salma is a film about a girl living in a land recovering from war. One day her father dies in a cluster bomb accident. This tragic event shrouds her mind and leaves her desperate and lost in a world she does no longer recognize.

Inde i Natten

A performance installation for children and adults. This project was directed and acted out by Sarah John from Australia. I worked closely with her in March and April 2012, making animations and exploring the possibilities of the world that was created. I also was in charge of making a workshop for the audience when they came out of the installation, where they could draw or craft origamy.

"Inside the night the stars are listening.
The stars must be able to see everything from up there. They must see the whole world dream.
We are made of stardust.

Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. The atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. You are all stardust. All the things that matter for evolution and for life weren't created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars. The only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode."

Skabelse (Creation)

A theater piece from the theater Refleksion in Aarhus, Denmark (2012).
I worked on development, primarily scenography and animations.

Skabelse (Creation in Danish), is a Live-video-animation:

Every day is a new beginning.
Every day has many new beginnings.
Two puppeteers and a musician playfully create different worlds, from wishes, desire, desperation, dreams... Using puppets, film, light, sound and music, they make a gentle and kind world, a crude world, worlds that rise, worlds that fall, and a world where everything is possible...

Kaffemikbevægelsen

This is a project I worked on together with 3 fellow students at Aarhus University. The subject was entrepreneurship, and the project spanned for one semester (September 2013 - January 2014).

"Kaffemikbevægelsen" is a movement that aims to build relationships between Danish and Greenlandic people. Greenland and Denmark are part of the same Commonwealth (together with Faroe Islands), but there is little knowledge in Denmark about Greenlandic ways. This leads to misconceptions and a lack of mutual understanding, which the project aims to address.

I worked on the concept with the others, and I also designed the logo.
